Joining IFPS

It is a great honor for me to be elected as the 7th President of the IFPS. My term started at the beginning of 2006 and will end at the end of 2008 according to the IFPS constitution and bylaws.

There are a number of tasks which I would like to fulfill during my term with the cooperation of the IFPS members, the Board of Directors and the Vice-President, Dr. Pavel Vlasak. A special thanks to Pavel for his great assistance to define the following tasks.

1. Increase the number of members.
2. Renew the tradition of independent IFPS Symposiums.
3. Publishing, on behalf of the IFPS, an annual review paper.
4. Awarding an annual prize for the best published paper.
5. Updating the web page with:
a. List of relevant publications of IFPS members.
b. Short description of experimental facilities operated by IFPS members.
c. Short description of relevant ongoing research projects.
d. Publish a Job-Fair and research students search for IFPS members.

Although I promise to do my best and to work hard towards the above objectives, it can't be done without the cooperation of the IFPS members. I am confident that with our best efforts we can reach the goals and more.
